A British MEP defends Sheffield after Jimi Tenor,
who lived in Sheffield eight years ago, said in a recent interview
that Sheffield was always cloudy and grey. The gloomy city gave
him the inspiration to make Intervision,
the record that gave him his big break. "It was a great place
to make music as there was nothing else to do", says Jimi.
According to MEP Linda Macavan, however, Sheffield
is by no means gloomy but a "dynamic, exciting and modern city".
The interview in question appeared in Europa issue 6/05 (download
