Let
The Music video is now online!
***
The world premiere of Jimi Tenor's
new video Let
The Music, from the album Higher
Planes, takes place on Sessions
on February 21st. The video is directed by Espen Jörgensen.
"It
was a fun and liberating experience to work with Jimi",
says Jörgensen. "He gave me creative freedom.
The only adjustments he wanted after seeing the first
cut was to add some skin and wet lips like in a R'n'B
video. At first the thought of turning the video into
a R'n'B video kind of scared me. I thought the video
would wind up looking like it was done by two different
directors who couldn't agree up on how it was going
to look. But I managed to slip that in, and now the
video looks even cooler."
"I
kind of put my name on the line when doing this video
as I'm doing stuff with the camera and lighting which
you just "shouldn't do" according to the biz.
But for me it's important to step away from established
aesthetics, and do it your way. Why should one make
a video which looks like the rest? I would be a coward
if I did that."
Sessions
on SubTV
(Finland) Saturdays 17.30, re-run Sundays at 11.50.
