The release of Jimi Tenor's much awaited new album Higher Planes is set for mid-January 2003. The CD, released on Kitty-Yo, will be available as a limited special digibook version in addition to the normal digipak version. The vinyl version contains a LP and a 7" in a gatefold sleeve. Jimi Tenor plays at the opening of Mezz concerts & dance, a fine new live music centre in the city of Breda, Netherlands, 19 Oct. The following week takes Jimi to Paradiso, Amsterdam, where he'll be seen on stage at the 'Space is the Place' Sun Ra tribute, 24 Oct.

Jimi Tenor is among this year's headline acts at the Festival for Electronic Music (FEM 02) in Sofia, Bulgaria. The festival takes place 2 - 5 Oct. Other acts include Fun'Da'Mental, Transglobal Underground Sound System and many Bulgarian groups. Jimi plays on 5 Oct, check here for details.

Jimi Tenor rocks Istanbul on 4 Oct at Akbank Jazz Festival. On stage with him are Chris Dawkins (guitar), Simon Pearson (drums), Ari-Pekka Anttila (bass), Jukka Eskola (trumpet), Juha Kortehisto (trombone) and Timo Lassy (baritone sax).
