Deutsche Grammophon's "Recomposed" by Jimi Tenor will
have its world premier
live at Deutschen Oper (German Opera), Berlin, on Sep 19th.
Jimi will perform his interpretations together with a full orchestra
(including six pianos) of the operas house musicians conducted
by Kevin McCutcheon.
In ReComposed, Jimi Tenor has created exciting
new versions of milestones in modern music. For his adaptations
Jimi, the unpredictable artist and never-tiring enquirer, has chosen
works by composers who themselves sought new forms and functions
in music. He does not simply work with the material he has at his
disposal, but in the material itself, reaching inside the compositions,
in order to re-interpret or reinforce them.
Look out for the album soon! See details and listen
to samples here!

Jimi will perform solo at Berlin's Maria
on Sep 23. Ilkka Mattila and percussionists from his regular band
will be joining him on stage as guests.
