'Out Of
Nowhere' was released in the US on July 25. "It
has the potential to appeal to a wide audience", says
Kris Gillespie of Matador.
Jimi, who is touring with and
without a big orchestra in Europe this autumn, might
well extend his tour to the US too. "We are trying to
hook Jimi up with municipal and university orchestras
to perform the album," says Gillespie.

Of Nowhere', of course, but also about making sauerkraut
in London and how stroking a piece of meat onstage got
him signed to Warp. He also played some of his favourite
records and introduced a couple of session tracks he
recorded for the show the previous day. These are now
available in realaudio at Worldwide.
You'll also find a special website
interview including a contest in which you can win

'All
the Time' by Nicole Willis is out now (Sähkö/Puu-20).
The 12" is produced by Jimi Tenor, Maurice Fulton
and Nicole, and includes remixes from Jori Hulkkonen
and Roberto Rodriguez. Here's what Nicole has to say
about it:
"Well, we're having fun piecing together a video
of the 'All the Time', who really knows where and how
it will be shown. We don't know if the industry has
use for a video that took about £2.49 to make (that's
not true, Maurice's tube fare alone was at least £1.60).
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Seriously though,
Jimi is shooting and editing the video so it's going
to be good! Any way, we think it's got the ear marks
of a 'pop' hit, sans the flesh colored hose. For any
DJ's out there who might be surfing, the Roberto Rodriguez
remix is the sureshot! In the tradition of real music,
just like my sister used to play before she went up-state
to college, this should be a refreshing summer cocktail
sans the electronic brainfreeze..."

The best thing right now? Out of Nowhere
by Jimi Tenor, says Gilles
Peterson in the weekly supplement of the Finnish
newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. "Definitely his finest
album. And I'm not saying this just because he's Finnish..."
Out Of Nowhere will be out July 17.
